This is a very easy trick to teach your dog, and it will look very cool when it reaches the final stages.
Make sure you have a treat or toy that your dog will remain focused on!
STEP 1. First, command "Circle". Then, with the treat, lure your dog around you once while you
are standing still. As soon as the circle is complete, reward him with the treat and praise.
STEP 2. After doing this a few times without incident, begin to walk forward slowly while luring your
dog in a circle around you. Remember to throw in the command "Circle"
occasionally so he makes a connection with the command and
what he's doing at the time. And praise, praise, praise!
STEP 3. Eventually you should be able to do this with a hand signal and voice command alone,
but don't be in a hurry to get to that point. It could confuse and frustrate him.
Experiment with his understanding
of it, but don't be afraid to take a step back to ensure success. =)
