This is another very easy trick to teach your dog, and it will look very cool when it reaches the final stages.
Make sure you have a treat or toy that your dog will remain focused on!
STEP 1. First, command "Spin". Then, with the treat, lure your dog around in a circle as if he is
chasing his tail. After a couple of rotations, reward him with the treat and praise.
STEP 2. Eventually (after the command and execution goes without a hitch) you should begin to attempt this without the treat, using only voice commands
and hand signals. I recommend beginning with a food lure for one spin, then no food lure with the next. Then try having
one spin with a food reward and two without, etc. Of course, verbal and physical praise should still be given to your dog for
all of that hard work. =)
